Desoxyn, known professionally as Methamphetamine Hydrochloride. And to everyone else as Crystal Meth. Available as a prescription. So you were prescribed Desoxyn innocently enough in middle school only to find out years later that you’re basically a functioning meth-head. Surprised? But what about diamorphine? That’s another one readily available at the hospital. Not familiar? What about heroin? Because that’s what it is. It doesn’t mimic or act similar to heroin. It is heroin.
So it’s alright to do hard drugs as long as a pharmaceutical company is profiting somewhere. Why do we think as a society that it’s okay for private companies to profit from addiction and dependency? Anyone else would end up in jail. And anyone else with an addiction would too.
Something to think about:
"The main problem with the drug war is the concept that there are good drugs and bad drugs when what’s actually good or bad is the relationship between the person and the drug, and the context in which the drug is taken."
I’m not advocating drugs. I realize that I must sound like the biggest junkie. But I hate hypocrisy.
